Details
Hyaluronic acid is a humectant: it holds water on the surface of your skin. In this 1% serum, paired with 1% panthenol (provitamin B5), it gives quick hydration that makes skin look plumper and feel more comfortable.
It does not exfoliate and does not sting, which makes it a safe first step for most skin. Apply it to damp skin and seal it with moisturiser, especially in air-conditioned rooms.
Suits: Every skin type, and especially skin that feels tight or looks dull from dehydration. Oily skin still needs water.

Warnings
- In very dry air a humectant can leave skin feeling drier if you skip the moisturiser on top.

Shipping and returns
Delivery is RM 7 in Peninsular Malaysia (1 to 4 working days) and RM 18 to Sabah, Sarawak and Labuan (3 to 7 working days). It is free over RM 100 and RM 150 respectively. Cash on delivery is available in Peninsular Malaysia, RM 5 handling.
Sealed, unopened products can be returned within 15 days of delivery. Faulty or wrong items are always covered.

- Goes first among serums, because it is the thinnest. Fine with niacinamide, vitamin C and retinol.
- Patch test
- A drop on your forearm for 24 hours is enough if your skin is reactive.
- How long it takes
- Hydration and comfort are immediate but wear off, so use it daily. In a 60-day trial of 0.1% hyaluronan around the eyes, hydration and elasticity improved against a plain cream.
What the research says
In a 76-woman trial, hyaluronan creams of several molecular weights all improved skin hydration and elasticity over 60 days compared with a plain cream, and wrinkle depth improved most with the lower weights. A lab study found low-weight hyaluronic acid passes into the top layer of skin and high-weight does not, which is why this serum blends weights.
What it does not say
Trials had industry co-authors. Hyaluronic acid holds water and plumps the look of skin, it does not fill wrinkles or change deeper skin. The lab study used excised skin.
